Ancient view of the temple

Vellamparambil Kshethra Kudumba Trust welcomes you to Vellamparambil Bhagavathy Temple.

Vellamparambil Bhavathy Temple is a revered shrine dedicated to the divine mother goddesses Shree Vellam Bhagavathy (Durga) and Shree Rudhiramala Bhagavathy. Located in Narakkal, Ernakulam, in the southern Indian state of Kerala, it is one of the most cherished temples in the region. The temple holds a divine sanctity, as both goddesses are enshrined side by side, symbolizing a powerful union of grace and strength.

Within the holy grounds of the temple are dedicated shrines for Vishnumaya, Muthappan, Gandakarnan, Kappiri, Gurunathan, and the Naga deities Sundara Yakshi and Karinaga Yakshi. Their sacred presence adds to the spiritual atmosphere, making the temple a special place of devotion, protection, and blessings.

"Pathamudaya Agosham" is the most sacred and celebrated festival of the temple, observed on the 10th day of Medam (April). It is believed that on this holy day, Goddess Vellam Bhagavathy and Rudhiramala Bhagavathy appears in her full divine form to bless the devotees with their gracious darshan, making it a truly spiritual and cherished occasion.
